Cray Wanderers cruised through their FA Cup Second Qualifying Round clash with Kent League side Erith Town at Hayes Lane on Sunday afternoon.

Tommy Whitnell opened the scoring on 25 minutes before Lewis Perkins grabbed two goals in as many minutes to make it 3-0 at the break.

Tyrone Sterling made it 4-0 shortly before the hour before Perkins completed his hat-trick 20 minutes from time.

Maidstone United crashed out 3-2 at home to Ryman League, Division 1 South promotion rivals Bognor Regis Town at Bourne Park on Saturday.

VCD Athletic of the Kent Hurlimann League Premier Division almost produced the shock of the round as they led 2-0 against Blue Square Bet South side Thurrock before being pegged-back late-on.

James Duckworth and Billy Bennett put the Vickers 2-0 ahead inside 17 minutes but the visitors reduced the arrears two minutes before half-time before forcing a replay with 15 minutes remaining.

VCD's Kent League rivals Beckenham Town also earned a goalless draw at Worthing of Ryman League, Division 1 South.

Margate and Thamesmead Town are another duo who face a replay after a stalemate at Hartsdown Park on Saturday.

The Ryman League, Premier Division side will visit their Division 1 North opponents on Tuesday night.

In Ryman League, Division 1 South, Folkestone Invicta won 1-0 at home to Burgess Hill Town on Saturday.

James Everitt's second half screamer was enough to take Invicta sixth in a game short of inspiration or chances.

Ramsgate got back to winning ways, coming from behind to seal a 2-1 victory at home to Whyteleafe.

Joe Taylor saw a penalty saved by Paul Smith following a 26th-minute handball and the visitors went ahead against the run of play before the break after the Rams failed to clear a corner.

Leafe hit the bar after the restart but the hosts equalised when Joseph Afusi converted from close range with just over 20 minutes remaining.

Ramsgate piled on the pressure and six minutes later Taylor scored the winner when Afusi helped on a Mitchell Sherwood free-kick.

Whitstable Town stopped the rot with a 1-0 win at home to Walton & Hersham to move away from the drop-zone.

After six defeats in a row, the Oystermen secured the points courtesy of a fine goal from Ryan Rook 19 minutes from time, the wideman jinking in from the flank before looping a shot into the far corner, though the hosts were made to sweat before the end, needing a goalline clearance from Gary Sayer and a save from Scott Chalmers-Stevens to ensure the points.

Chatham Town slipped to a 1-0 defeat at home to Brentwood Town in Division 1 North.

The only goal arrived 15 minutes from time with a superb lob over Adam Molloy from the half-way line which saw the Chats drop out of the play-off places.
