A racing kart circuit that has been an early starting ground for many F1 racing drivers has tweeted its congratulations to Britain’s latest Grand Prix winner.
Lando Norris won his first ever F1 race at the Miami circuit this weekend, to the delight of Buckmore Park Kart Circuit at the top of Blue Bell Hill in Chatham and other racing fans.
The karting circuit is where the careers of F1 drivers Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button, Johhny Herbert and Jan Magnussen began.
But Lando also raced there back in 2008 along with Billy Monger and he returned last year to take part in the circuit’s Star in a Kart event where he achieved a lap time of 49.94 seconds.
McLaren driver Lando swept to victory at Miami yesterday forcing world champion Max Verstappen into second place.
