Welling United boss Jamie Day expects to find out on Wednesday whether captain Jack Parkinson and forward Loick Pires have landed themselves moves into the Football League.
Parkinson is believed to be close to a move to League 1 Stevenage after interest cooled from Southend while Pires scored for Crewe in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday night.
Day, who insisted he will not stand in either player's way, will speak to both clubs to find out their next move.
Welling and Stevenage are believed to have agreed a deal for the possible transfer.
"We let Jack play for Stevenage (at Dover) on Tuesday and he trained with them on Monday," said Day.
"I think it was one final look before they make a decision. We are there or thereabouts in terms of an agreement.
"If he does go it will be good for us and we'll all be pleased for him."
Parkinson, who joined the Wings from Kent League VCD Athletic in 2008, played twice for Southend last week but Day admitted that they had not been in touch for a few days.
As for former Stoke and Leyton Orient forward Pires (pictured), Day added: "He told me that he scored but Crewe had told me they will make a decision by Wednesday and we don't want to stop him progressing if they are interested."
Left-back Jack Obersteller has returned to Welling after a trial with League 2 Gillingham and ironically played 90 minutes against the Gills on Tuesday night.
