Manager Jamie Day has urged Welling striker Ross Lafayette to get his career back on track.
Lafayette has scored two goals in as many games for the Wings after signing from Hemel Hempstead following a pre-season trial.
The former Wealdstone forward will be looking to follow in the footsteps of Loick Pires and Andy Pugh, who have both moved up to the Blue Square Bet Premier this year after impressive spells at Park View Road.
Day (pictured) said: "I don't like to single players out but I thought he bullied Chelmsford's two centre-halves and was a real handful.
"His goal was a great turn and technique so that's two in two as well now.
"To be fair to him, he has been out with injuries for a while and it's down to him to get his career back on track."
Reflecting on the impressive 3-2 win at Chelmsford, Day added: "Apart from the first 20 minutes when we didn't really threaten, I felt we dominated the game and the scoreline didn't reflect that. The goals we let in were two sloppy mistakes.
"I felt we played exceptionally well, everyone put in a good shift."
