Welling striker Tom Whitnell's fine form under new boss Jamie Day has been recognised.

Whitnell has been named the Blue Square South's player of the month for November.

The teenage striker scored three goals in five games last month as Welling stretched their unbeaten run to seven games.

Whitnell was on target twice against Tonbridge in the FA Trophy third qualifying round win and also found the target in the 3-0 home win over Staines in Blue Square South.
