Ashford Wheelers continued their success last week with a win over another rival club Rye & District Wheelers.

The top six riders results in each club count and The Wheelers won by 1.26 seconds.

Praise should go to young club Wheeler member David Godden who was riding a bike specially built for the event finishing in a very creditable 25:18 to ensure the Ashford win.

Steve Clarke won his first event of the season proving there is life in the old Wheeler yet.

He was just a few seconds ahead of Andy Branson to take the Wednesday race, and Boris Muller, one of the club's international club members,

Boris comes from Germany and is currently working in the Ashford district and is proving a welcome addition in our club.
