THE body of a widow has been discovered on her husband’s grave in a suspected suicide. Sylvia Sharp is believed never to have recovered from her husband Colin’s death two years ago.

One line on his gravestone in the churchard at Meopham, near Gravesend, reads: “Time will never ease the pain, not until we meet again.”

Mrs Sharp, who was in her 60s and had lived in Meopham for 16 years, was found with a pillow tucked under her head. She is thought to have died of asphyxia.

Police say there are no suspicious circumstances. An inquest is expected to be held.
