Weather forecasters have ruled out any chance of a white Christmas in Kent this year, according to their latest predictions.
The recent chilly weather - which has seen occasional snow flurries across the county - had led many to hope this festive season could see the white stuff.
But in the latest predictions from the Met Office, it appears that is set to disappear.
Instead, the weather is set to turn milder.
In its latest prediction for the two weeks leading up to New Year, it says: "Getting into the Christmas period, it is likely to be milder than earlier in the month, with temperatures near to above normal, although some colder spells remain possible.
"It is likely to become more settled around Christmas and towards New Year with increased chance of overnight frost and fog during clearer spells."
However, there's still a chance we could see some snow before the party season gets into full swing.
Looking ahead, it adds: "Unsettled conditions are likely to continue with longer spells of rain affecting most of the country, with the potential to turn heavy in southern areas. Following these periods of rain, showery conditions are likely, with a chance of snow even at lower elevations. It will feel cold in the north, with the potential to spread further south at times."
