A nine-year-old girl from Kennington is hoping to make it into the Guinness Book of Records with the world’s longest eyelash.

Samantha Sexton noticed the extra long lash growing on her left eye in November and it has continued growing for the past three months.

The eyelash is now almost 4cm long and she is aiming to beat a record of 6.99cm.

Samantha does not know why one of her lashes is so long but has decided to turn the lash into cash. She is raising money for Demelza House and is collecting sponsors at St Mary’s Church, Kennington.
