An ex-city banker has held a celebrity-studded party to
encourage more people to enter a competition to win his millionaire
lifestyle.
Andrew Paul is giving away his home in Ightham, his flash sports
car and speedboat in a raffle-style competition.
Andrew needs to sell about 50,000 raffle tickets by mid-December
to make his Win A New Life idea work.
That’s why he hosted a party last night (Thursday) for hundreds
of people, with entertainment from the likes of Lemar, Lee Ryan and
X Factor’s Lloyd.
He has been selling £20 tickets to win the lot via his website
Win a New Life, and he needs to reach about 100,000 for the whole
lifestyle to be given away.
After divorcing his wife and with a new baby on the way, the
former city banker decided to make a clean break and set up the
competition whereby people can win his most treasured belongings -
worth a total of around £1.5m.
If he doesn't make that, designer watches and a percentage of
the cash generated from ticket sales will be the prize instead.
Andrew Paul said: "It's a very simple idea and one where people
can literally change their life.
"There are always sceptics out there but to be honest we haven't
had anyone come to us saying they think it's a scam.
"It's probably cost me in the region of £400,000 - £500,000 in
lawyers and consultants [to set up the competition] and the risk
is, if I don't sell all the tickets, I lose a lot of money.”
Andrew is working with producers in Hollywood towards making the
concept into a reality TV show whereby people can win an American
A-lister’s house. The 10 week show will see 12 people
competing in games of skills with someone being voted off each
week.
The ex-banker has this advice for aspiring
millionaires.
“If you’ve got a dream put your mind to it, follow it and then
you will make it.”
