High winds in Dover have seen a shed fire spread quickly, a metal frame trampoline escape from a garden and a crane barge blow across a harbour.
Investigators are looking into what caused the shed fire near Harbour View Road in Dover, yesterday.
Two fire engines attended at 10.40am, extinguishing the blaze within an hour.
Firefighter Rob Scott said: “It was quite impressive on arrival because it was such a windy day.”
The crew are unsure how it started.
Mr Scott added: “It is under investigation at the moment.”
Yesterday’s wind also caused a metal framed trampoline to be lifted out of a garden.
It was seen rolling down Brookfield Avenue.
Overnight, a crane barge broke loose from her moorings at Dover's Eastern Docks and blew across the harbour to the Western Docks, ending up in a ferry berth.
Writing on dover-marina.com, Nigel Scutt said: "It appears that there's no bounds to Storm Desmond's ability to create problems at the moment.
"This is the scene this morning at Number 3 Berth in the Eastern Docks.
"The crane barge Waasland broke loose from her moorings at the Cruise Terminal during the night and this is where she ended up after being blown across the harbour.
"Operations are ongoing and are expected to continue as the winds abate."
Today, ferry services are also disrupted due to the adverse weather conditions.
DFDS sailings between Dover and Dunkerque, and P&O services between Dover and Calais are facing major delays.
