A pumpkin wearing a wig and covered in glitter was just one of the more unusual sights at a Halloween event.

Yalding Organic Centred, Yalding, staged a two-day Halloween celebration, including a fancy dress competition, workshops, a pumpkin competition with prizes for the largest, ugliest and best dressed vegetable.

There were also edible goodies such as Roast Witches Finger Nails on offer at the centre’s cafe.

Kids and adults also enjoyed a Family Witch Hunt where they worked their way round the garden and followed a ghoulish trail to find resident witches.

Lorna Woodager who helped organise the event, said: “The weather did have an impact, but considering that it was an amazing success.”
