Witness appeal after fatal crash on M26

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was killed in a car crash on the M26 today (Saturday).

The accident happened at around 6.40am on the Maidstone bound carriageway at the junction of the A21.

It’s believed the driver of a blue Peugeot 206 lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the back of a foreign registered lorry.

The 44-year-old driver of the car, who’s from Surrey, died at the scene.

The road has been closed while an investigation takes place and is expected to reopen this afternoon.
