A woman has died after she was hit by a lorry early today.

The 21-year-old, believed to be from the Folkestone area, was a pedestrian who died at the scene of the collision on the A2 at Barham, near Canterbury.

Police closed the coastbound carriageway, shortly after the accident at 2.28am, between the junctions with Barham and Wootton, until 9.30am.
