Police have praised Strood neighbours after helping with an investigation into a suspected brothel.

Officers raided an address in Kitchener Road after reportedly receiving a number of complaints.

A 37 year old woman has been in connection with running a brothel and being in possession of a class B drug. Another woman was arrested but later released without charge.

Tania Bibby of Pelham Terrace, Gravesend was charged with both offences. She has been released on police bail and will appear at Medway Magistrates Court on Thursday.

Chief Inspector Dave Coleman from Kent Police, said: “The local community raised concerns and after listening to them we were able to take action.”
