A woman has been taken to hospital with suspected head and neck injuries after her car collided with the central reservation.

The accident happened just after 10am on Tuesday on the M2 between junctions 5 and 6 coastbound.

Emergency crews had to cut the woman free from the wreckage, and motorists are being urged to avoid the area.
