A WOMAN died this afternoon in an accident on the B2046 between Adisham and Aylesham. The accident, which happened just before 1.20pm, involved a car and a Box van.

The road was closed between Dorman Avenue North, Aylesham, and Station Road, Adisham, while the woman, who has not yet been named by police, was cut from her car.

A police investigation is underway. An inquest will be held.
