Woman falls 40ft into grain silo

A WOMAN had to be rescued by firefighters today after falling into a grain silo at a farm near Cranbrook.

The woman plunged about 40ft into the silo, which was half full of cereal, at Benenden Road, Golford.

She was unable to get out on her own and was trapped for an hour until the brigade were able to put a harness on her and winch her up.

She was said to be shocked but otherwise suffered only minor bruises in the incident.
