A YOUNG woman became violent towards railway staff and threatened to throw herself under a train at Rochester Railway Station early today. Police officers were immediately called to the incident on platform three at about 8.45am.

The woman, in her mid-twenties, was calmed by police and later escorted to her home.

Police said later that some commuters were delayed by the incident.
