POLICE are investigating to see whether a stone that injured a passenger in a Ford Focus travelling along the Thanet Way at Whitstable was deliberately thrown at the car.

The incident occurred on Saturday at around 10.20pm as the woman and her husband were travelling home to Margate.

Just after passing a Shell garage on the A299, the nearside passenger window shattered and the hit the female passenger, fracturing her arm.

Police are appealing for witnesses, or other drivers who may have been a target, to come forward.
