A woman was taken to hospital after two cars collided at a roundabout on Saturday night.

The accident happened at the bottom of Ash Tree Lane, Chatham.

Medway firefighters were also called to the scene at 9.19pm following reports that a woman was trapped in one of the vehicles.

After making the car safe. crews assessed the situation along with the paramedics but the woman was eventually freed without the use of cutting equipment.

The scene was cleared just after 10pm.
