Woman in dock over £53m depot heist

AN 11th person has appeared in court charged in connection with the £53million raid on a Kent cash depot.

Hairdresser Michelle Hobb, 31, appeared before Maidstone magistrates on Friday charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to kidnap in relation to the raid at the Securitas depot, Tonbridge, in February.

Hobb, of Brinklow Crescent, Woolwich, was remanded in custody to appear at a preliminary hearing at the Old Bailey, on July 28.

Some £30million is still missing from the raid, with about £21million recovered by police so far.

Ten other people have been charged in relation to the theft, while police are seeking to extradite a 26-year-old man from Morocco.
