Woman in M20 crash 'critical'

A WOMAN driver involved in a two-vehicle crash on the M20 is in a critical condition in hospital.

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses following a collison on the London-bound carriageway near West Kingsdown on Wednesday at around 1.50pm.

The two vehicles involved were a Mercedes Sprinter van and a green Land Rover Discovery which overturned.

The female driver of the Discovery was taken to the Royal London Hospital by Air Ambulance where Kent Police say she remains in a "critical condition".

The driver of the van and a passenger in the Discovery were also taken to hospital by ambulance.

The motorway was closed London bound at junction 3, to allow recovery of the vehicles and Forensic examination of the Motorway and the crash scene. It was partially re-opened at about 6.30 pm and fully re-opened at about 7.30 pm.

Anyone who has any information about the accident is asked to contact Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538.
