A woman in her 60s has died killed trying to cross a road in Canterbury.

The victim was struck by a Vauxhall Corsa as she stepped from a parked car in The Terrace, St Stephen's, at 4.35pm.

Emergency services attended the scene, but could not save the woman who had suffered fatal injuries.

Her family have been informed and Kent Police are investigating the crash.
