The woman was conscious and breathing after the fall, and fire crews dealt with the blaze.

Local snapper Samuel Rudd, 21, who took the picture left, said: "I'd got home from college at 4.45pm and my partner said there was loads of smoke outside.

"We looked outside and saw flames coming out of a window in Kennedy House.

"By the time we got there fire crews had stopped the flames and smoke was billowing out.

"There was a big crowd outside and the areas was cordoned off. I saw someone on a stretcher being treated by paramedics and also someone suffering an asthma attack.

"There was an engine here until late at night because they were boarding up the affected premises."
