Woman taken to hospital after Rainham crash

A motorist in her 60s was taken to hospital with face injuries after a car hit a signpost.

The woman's vehicle crashed in Maidstone Road, Rainham, on Monday.

Firefighters, police and ambulance crews were sent to the scene at about 10.30am.

A crew from Medway fire station helped paramedics lift the woman out of her car so she could be taken to hospital for treatment.

A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "No other vehicles were involved in the collision.

"We helped get the woman into the ambulance and made the scene safe. We were there for about 45 minutes."
