A woman's body has been found in a Gravesend town centre flat.

The grim discovery was made at an address in Trinity Road on Wednesday morning.

Police were called just after 10am and are not investigating the death.

It is not known who found the 42-year-old woman's body or who called police.

A police spokeswoman said: "Police are not treating the death as suspicious at this time and the coroner's office has been informed."

A post-mortem examination on the woman's body is yet to be held.
