Woman's body found in lake

The body of a woman has been found in a lake.

Police were called to Leybourne Lakes in Larkfield shortly after 12.30am on Friday.

Following an initial investigation police confirmed they are not treating the death as suspicious.

The coroner’s office has been notified and her next of kin have been informed.

No further details of the deceased are being released at this time.

It is the second time in less than two months that a body has been found in Leybourne Lakes.

On August 22, 19-year-old father Brian Anderson, of Benedict Road, Snodland, drowned after struggling with depression.
