POLICE have issued this e-fit picture following an attack on a Gillingham woman at knifepoint.

The terrified woman was threatened with a knife and dragged through her house in search of valuables by a burglar.

The e-fit is of a man they would like to trace in connection with the aggravated burglary in Gillingham's Napier Road.

The victim, agedd 47, answered a call at her door and was confronted with a man wielding a black-handled kitchen knife with a 3in blade. She was forced back inside the house and threatened with the weapon as she was taken from room to room.

The offender left with jewellery and several DVDs valued at more than £2,000. He is described as a white man, aged between 17 and 20, of muscular build and approximately 6ft tall.

He was wearing a black combat style jacket, dark trousers, dirty white trainers with some blue in them and a baseball cap. He was also wearing a grey scarf and was carrying a black canvas bag.

The man left the victim’s house through her back garden and into an alleyway.

Det Con Ann Lisseman said: “This is a particularly vicious and nasty attack on this lady in her own home. We would ask for the help of the public in trying to identify this offender and would urge anyone who may have information in connection with the incident to contact Medway Police on 01634 884136 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The incident happened on Wednesday, February 4, between 11.15am and 11.45am at the Gillingham Road end of Napier Road.
