THE devastated parents of a 20-year-old woman who died in a road accident in the county have paid tribute to their "beautiful daughter".

Rebecca Arnold, from Rochester, was killed on Sunday evening when the white Renault Kangol van she was a passenger in overturned at the bottom of Blue Bell Hill.

Police say Rebecca, who had a three-year-old daughter, was declared dead on arrival at Medway Maritime Hospital at Gillingham.

In a statement, Rebecca's mother and father, Robert and Linda Arnold, said: "Becky was loved by everybody, she came from a family of two brothers and three sisters.

"She was a fantastic daughter and had a beautiful three-year-old daughter herself called Ellese. She also had many friends.

"We have a lot to explain to Ellese about where her mummy has gone but we will make sure Becky's memory lives on in Ellese's and our hearts.

"She was a fantastic and outgoing person who loved life in general."

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the crash to come forward. It is not thought any other vehicles were involved.

A man has been arrested in connection with the incident and bailed pending further investigation.
