A 25-year-old woman walking alone along an alleyway was pushed to the ground by a thug who ran off with £100 in cash from her bag.

The incident happened in an alley between Princes Avenue and Halifax Close, Walderslade, Chatham, between 8pm and 8.30pm on Tuesday, January 2.

The suspect is described as being an Eastern European male, aged between 30 and 35. He was wearing blue denim jeans, white trainers and a dark hooded top.

Det Sgt Terry Easterby, who is investigating the incident, said: "I am keen to hear from anyone who may be able to help us identify the suspect or, who may have any information that will assist us further with this investigation."
