A 19-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of an arson attack following a fire at a house in Thanet.

Eight people were led to safety after fire broke out at about 12.30am on Tuesday in the hallway of the property converted into flats in Northdown Road, Cliftonville, near Margate.

Fire crews from Margate and the Thanet station in Broadstairs dealt with the fire. Nobody was injured.
