Youngsters get the hump for Christmas

Children performed a nativity play with a difference at a nursery.

Primary Colours Day Nursery in Minster put on two productions of Hump the Camel, which is a traditional nativity story from the perspective of the camels travelling to Bethlehem.

Almost 40 children from the nursery took part, performing to their parents last Tuesday and members of Age Concern on Wednesday.

The children enjoyed singing a few different songs, including some traditional Christmas carols.

Supervisor Natasha Collins, said: “Hump the Camel is a different take on the traditional nativity.

“Members of Age Concern and the children all really enjoyed it – there were smiles all round.”
