Music promoters Matt Dice and Ricardo Monty may be busy putting the finishing touches to the Zoo Thousand and Eight (Z008) festival, but they found time to pass on a few tips to students at South Kent College.
The pair gave a talk to music technology students at SKC’s Folkestone campus, before taking questions.
And as Matt revealed, the lessons learned on the course should stand the youngsters in good stead for their future careers.
He said: “I did the talk because I did the same course at Canterbury College 10 years ago.
“It also turns out that two of the lecturers that were there were on the course with me.
“When I was there, the course had only just started, so we were like the guinea pigs, but it obviously worked out.”
Z008, which features stars like Dizzee Rascal, Mark Ronson and Ash, takes place from July 4 to 6 at Port Lympne wild animal park.
Weekend tickets cost £99 with concessions for under 15s and group bookings.
Animal park staff get a sneak preview of one of the acts, Kid Harpoon, who come from Chatham, today.
They and The Holloways along with DJ Brandon Block will play a set for staff, family and friends as a warm-up to the main event.
