BATSMAN Matthew Walker was a decisive winner of the Cowdrey Player of the Year Award at Kent.
The county has announced that he received more than 53 per cent of the 2,179 votes cast by supporters.
South African-born Martin van Jaarsveld was runner-up with former captain David Fulton, whose contract has not been renewed, in third place.
Walker also took the Denness Award for top run scorer with 1,910 in all competitions, 34 better than van Jaarsveld.
The Underwood Award for leading wicket taker was shared by Amjad Khan and Min Patel with 57 each.
