CHARLTON have agreed a £1.5m fee with Burnley for striker Andy Gray.

Gray has been given permission to speak to the Addicks and will undergo a medical on Friday night.

Addicks boss Alan Pardew is trying to add the 30-year-old to his squad to face Watford on Saturday in an emergency loan deal.

Gray has scored 13 goals this season, including two at The Valley last month. He has netted 30 times in 73 games for Burnley since joining in March 2006.

Meanwhile, Addicks striker James Walker's move to Southend has fallen through after he failed a medical.

The deal was called off on Friday despite the Shrimpers announcing the £200,000 transfer had been completed on Monday.
