NEW striker Svetoslav Todorov missed a penalty as Charlton were held to a goalless draw by Aldershot in Wednesday night's testimonial for Paul Shrubb at the Recreation Ground.
Substitute Todorov missed from the spot 15 minutes from the end after being fouled by Rob Gier.
A crowd of 1,505 watched the match with all procceds going to former Charlton scout Shrubb who was struck down by the muscle-wasting motor neurone disease in January 2006.
Manager Alan Pardew sent a strong squad to Aldershot while a youthful side was sent to Ebbsfleet United where they were beaten 5-1.
