Charlton put distance between themselves and the Championship drop-zone after a 3-0 win at fellow strugglers Wigan Athletic on Friday night.
Keeper Stephen Henderson prevented Marc Antoine-Fortune from putting the hosts infront in the opening stages before midfielder Frederic Bulot fired the Addicks ahead on 17 minutes with a low shot past Ali Al-Habsi.
An eight-minute injury delay occurred after Latics striker Leon Clarke suffered an awkward fall, with the forward being taken off on a spinal board wearing a neck brace, however when the game resumed Igor Vetokele rose highest to head home a Bulot cross to make it 2-0.
Just hours after joining the Addicks, former Bolton man Chris Eagles added the third two minutes from time as Charlton broke at pace with the hosts pushing for a way back into the game.
Guy Luzon's side are 14th, eight points clear of the drop-zone while second-bottom Wigan are nine points from safety.
