Charlton claimed their first clean sheet of the season to hold Blackpool to a draw at The Valley on Saturday.
High-flying Blackpool almost won it late on, through Tom Ince but he shot narrowly wide.
The point leaves the Addicks one place and one point above the bottom three in the Championship.
Charlton’s best efforts fell to Dale Stephens, who put an early free-kick over the bar and Jordan Cousins, whose long-range effort was pushed wide by keeper Matt Gilks.
Ince missed his chance late on for Blackpool and also had a free-kick deflected wide.
Charlton boss Chris Powell said: “I have been willing us to get a clean sheet and it has been individual mistakes that have cost us.
“We are missing a number of key players but the boys who are out there are pushing themselves to try to get us wins and points.”
