NEW Charlton striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has been charged by the FA with improper conduct.
The charge relates to comments made in his autobiography regarding his time at Chelsea and the allegation that additional bonuses had been paid to the players following the Champions League quarter-final victory over Arsenal in April, 2004.
Such a payments would have breached Premier League rules.
Charlton general manager (football) Andrew Mills said: "The club are happy for Jimmy’s lawyers to deal with this issue. We are happy with Jimmy’s explanation on the issue."
