CHARLTON have agreed a £2.5million fee for Everton striker Marcus Bent and are allowing Jason Euell to move to Birmingham City.
Addicks boss Alan Curbishley has moved to conclude a deal for 27-year-old Bent after agreeing a £1.5million price for the out-of-favour Euell.
The forward was due to have a medical at The Valley on Monday.
Bent has not been a regular starter for Everton this season with manager David Moyes preferring James Beattie. He has scored eight goals in 65 appearances.
Bent will once again team up with his namesake, Darren, after the pair played together at Ipswich Town.
Euell, 28, was Charlton's record signing when he arrived from Wimbledon for £4.75million in 2001. He was a transfer target for Birmingham in the summer but a dislocated shoulder led to Blues boss Steve Bruce cooling his interest.
