Hibernian 3 Charlton Athletic 2

ANOTHER goal from new signing Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink couldn't prevent Charlton suffering their first defeat under Iain Dowie at Hibernian on Tuesday.

The Addicks raced into a two-goal lead after Hasselbaink struck in the third minute and then youngster James Walker netted midway through the first half.

But a sensational strike from Scott Brown pulled one back before the break for the home side.

Dowie introduced several youngsters after the interval, which allowed Hibs to grab the initiative.

Brown scored his second to level the scores and the comeback was complete late on when Ross Campbell notched from close range.

Charlton will hope for an improved display in their game against Valencia on Saturday.

Charlton: Myhre (Randolph h-t), Young (Walton h-t), Hreidarsson (Fortune h-t), El Karkouri (Sorondo h-t), Ashton (Youga h-t), Rommedahl (Euell h-t), Kishishev (John h-t), Hughes (Holland h-t), Thomas (Walker 14), Ambrose (Sam h-t), Hasselbaink (Gislason h-t (Carvill 80)).
