THE 119 Bradford City supporters who made the 470-mile round trip to follow the team to Gillingham last week are to be reimbursed with their £16 admission money.

The money will be provided from the fine of two weeks' wages imposed on goalkeeper Alan Combe who was sent off after barging into referee David Crick.

Bradford City managing director Shaun Harvey explained: "Those supporters who made the long journey to Gillingham are the bedrock of the club's struggling support and Alan Combe's dismissal significantly affected the outcome and the chances of us getting something from the game.

"This is a one-off and should not be seen as a gesture that will be repeated on every occasion that a Bradford City player is sent off in the future."

* Roland Edge, the former Gillingham defender, helped his new club Hibernian reach the CIS Cup final last night as they beat Rangers 4-3 on penalties in the semi-final.

The two sides had been locked at 1-1 after extra time. Hibs meet Livingston in the final on March 14.
