THE clock is ticking down for Johnny Armour's second defence of his WBU bantamweight title – and he can't wait to get in the ring.
Armour faces his old nemesis Francis Ampofo for the third time at the Brentwood International Centre, Essex, on Saturday week, as is confident of putting the Bethnal Green-based fighter away once and for all.
Armour has been based in London working with Julius Francis’ trainer Mark Roe and feels better prepared than last time.
He said: “We've been working on a few things that I did wrong in the last fight. I was planting my feet when I was letting my shots go so they weren't carrying the sting they should have. I was also on the move too much but that’ll be different this time.
“I've got big plans for the future and I want to put Ampofo away once and for all.’
The fight will be shown live on Sky Sports 1 with the Saturday Fight Night show starting at 8pm.
* Tickets for the fight are still available. Contact Johnny's father on 01634 403789 or visit Reds Menswear in Military Road, Chatham. Only £20 tickets are still available.
