Kent Spitfires v Middlesex Crusaders

KENT take on Middlesex in their final home Twenty20 Cup qualifier at Beckenham later with everything up for grabs again after tonight's opponents beat Surrey Brown Caps yesterday.

The game represents a homecoming of sorts for all-rounder Tyron Henderson who, at this time last year, flew in from South Africa to inspire the Spitfires to wins over Essex, Hampshire and Middlesex and eventual qualification into the quarter-finals.

Looking ahead to the game, Henderson said: "I was sat back at home contemplating the new season in South Africa for a new franchise in Cape Town when the phone went and it was Middlesex coach Richard Pybus, who asked if I'd come over and replace Chaminda Vaas for the Twenty20s.

"Richard gave me my break into first-class cricket when he was coach at Border back in 1998, so I jumped at the chance to come and play under him and for the Crusaders for a couple of weeks.

"Twenty20 is good fun, it gets the crowds in through the gate, and I'm so looking forward to being back at Beckenham again.

"I really enjoyed my time with Kent, I was hoping to come back but things didn't come together. But it will be good to go back to the ground where I made my debut and took a wicket with my first ball."

Spitfires are expected to name an unchanged side.
