Gillingham are looking to keep loan defender Michael Harriman for another month.
The right-back arrived at the start of the month, as replacement for injured Matt Fish, on a 28-day deal from QPR.
Harriman, 20, has started the last four games for the Gills and boss Martin Allen is hoping to now extend the player’s stay until the end of September.
“We are looking to extend that at the moment,” confirmed the Gills boss.
“He has been superb and he has definitely been a good signing and maybe by Saturday we will have another one in place.”
The Gills had been in talks with a player from a Championship club with a hope of adding a new face into the squad forthe trip to Swindon Town.
But Allen hasn’t given up hope of a new face coming in for the game against Bristol City at Priestfield this Saturday.
“We will have to wait and see what happens,” he said.
