Martin Allen is hoping his Gills players put on a show when they host Premier League Crystal Palace.
Ian Holloway’s side visit Priestfield on Tuesday night.
The Gills under-performed at the weekend against Millwall and boss Allen is looking for much better this time around.
“It will be a test for the squad,” he said. “They are in the Premier League. I don’t mind if we don’t win but I do mind if we don’t play our way. On Saturday (against Millwall) we haven’t played our way. We have not played how Gillingham play. This will change.
“On Tuesday, we will put out our strongest team and we will put on a performance for the people that come to watch to make them happy and make them proud. On Saturday, I don’t think we quite did that.”
Gills forward Myles Weston has missed the last two pre-season matches, with a tight hamstring, but is nearing a return. Kick-off is 7.30pm.
