Boost for ice man Greenhous

CARL Greenhous was named Booster Club player of the year at the Invicta Dynamos ice hockey awards evening held at the Roffen Club in Rochester.
The popular 29-year-old Canadian defenceman was taken to fans' hearts with his consistently solid style and obvious love of the game.
Mike Kindred had the honour of being named players' player of the year and Mikko Skinnari was supporters' player of the year.
Forward of the year went to top scorer Matt Beveridge who netted 37 times this season and defenceman of the year was netminder Matt Van Der Velden who had an outstanding season picking up more man of the match awards (11) than any other player.
Jake French, who built up a real understanding with Greenhous in defence, was named top British player and Mr Dynamo was captain Phil Chard.
