Kent Cricket will play both red and white-ball cricket this summer.

A majority vote was reached between the chairs of the 18 first class counties at a meeting on Tuesday.

A shortened season will commence from August 1 and fixtures will be announced once the ECB board ratifies the decision.

Red-ball matches look set to be regionalised with a final later in the year while T20 matches are likely to take place in September.

The safety and wellbeing of all players, staff and officials remains the priority of the ECB and all FCCs will undergo further medical risk assessments and venue compliance approval as planning progresses to ensure safe environments for the start of the men’s domestic season.
