ALTHOUGH the Speedway Conference League season may be over two of the Sittingbourne AC Associates Crusaders' side are in individual action at the weekend.

Mark Basbey and Andre Cross have been recognised for their excellent displays at the fenland track against the 2004 champions earlier in the season and have been invited to join a field including several star names.

The duo take their place in a line-up including Barrie Evans, Dan Giffard, Tom Brown, early season Crusader James Cockle and Matt Wright. The homesters represented are Jon Armstrong, former Sittingbourne rider Mark Thompson and one-time Old Gun Site trainees James Purchase and Trevor Heath.

The action gets underway at 5pm on Sunday.
